The past few years have not been easy on Marquette Crew. We have faced a lot of challenges, but are excited and ready to improve our Crew. A fire has been ignited in our new Crew, reinvigorated with a new Executive Board.
Meet Our Crew
Introducing our new Executive Board (E-Board)
James (Jimmy) Kuchera - President
Hello! My name is Jimmy and I am a senior in civil engineering from St Charles, IL. I have been a rower for 3 years, and I’m excited for 1 more! I wanted to be the president of the club to organize the leadership and re-establish our Marquette Crew Traditions.
Cam Heisner - Treasurer
My name is Cam Heiser and I am from Edgerton, Wisconsin (about 30 minutes south of Madison). I am a junior studying Accounting, Finance, and Human Resources. I hope to be able to provide the team with a solid and reliable financial source. To do so I plan to work with the board and coaches to create clear expectations and practices.
Ava Hart - Regatta Chair
Hello! I'm Ava and I am a Junior in the College of Arts and Sciences majoring in Criminology and Law Studies, Social Welfare and Justice, and Political Science! I'm from New Prague, Minnesota, and I love baking, hammocking, and just generally being outdoors, In the summer, I work as a zipline tour guide. I'm excited to be joining the board as Regatta Chair!
Tony Gonzalez - Fundraising Chair
Hi, I am Antonio Gonzalez and I am fundraising chair, I am currently an electrical engineer with a digital media minor going into my junior year. Crew has impacted me ever since I joined. I was able to become part of a team which I connected with on and off the boat. Being part of crew has given me a better understanding of a level of commitment and dedication which I wouldn’t have found anywhere outside of rowing and for that I will be eternally grateful, Because of this I hope to give back to the team as the fundraiser chair. Rowing is not cheap so I plan to set financial goals throughout the year as I alongside the board help construct events that will not only raise funds for the team but also encourage and reCREWit new members.
Kate Forgac - Clothing Chair/Secretary
Hi, I’m Kate Forgac and I am from Elmhurst, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. I am majoring in Biology and minoring in Anthropology. I am going to be a sophomore this year and I’m also on the figure skating team which is super fun. For fun, I like to go around Milwaukee trying different coffee shops!
Mari Huglin - Public Relations Chair
Hello! I’m Mari and I am the PR Chair for crew. I am a sophomore majoring in International Affairs and English with a minor in Entrepreneurship. I am excited to lead our social media, recruitment, and work on alumni relations! I hope to create more newsletters like these and keep the website up to date. My goal for this year is to create good communication lines between the team, coaches, and alumni!
